{"id":1680,"date":"2025-03-23T11:39:24","date_gmt":"2025-03-23T11:39:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/giftconsult.com.ng\/?p=1680"},"modified":"2025-03-23T11:45:05","modified_gmt":"2025-03-23T11:45:05","slug":"26-96-pass-as-waec-releases-computer-based-2025-wassce-results-for-private-candidates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/giftconsult.com.ng\/blog\/26-96-pass-as-waec-releases-computer-based-2025-wassce-results-for-private-candidates\/","title":{"rendered":"26.96% pass as WAEC releases computer-based 2025 WASSCE results for private candidates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of its computer-based Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) organised for private candidates early this year as a first series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results were released on Saturday with only 2,441 candidates (representing 26.96%) out of the total 9,054 candidates who sat the exam nationwide obtained credit and above in a minimum of five mandatory subjects for tertiary school admissions, including English Language and Mathematics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Head of National Office (HNO) of WAEC Nigeria, Dr Amos Angut, announced the release of the results in a statement made available to newsmen by the head of the public affairs department of the organisation, Mrs. Moyosola Adesina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the HNO, the examination took place across 143 centres nationwide from Wednesday, January 29 to Saturday, February 15, with 4,384 males and 4,670 females, representing 48.42% and 51.58% respectively, participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said 8,651 of the total candidates who sat the exam (representing 95.55%) have their results already fully processed and released while 403 candidates (representing 4.45%) still have a few of their subjects being processed due to errors traceable to them<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;But the results of 56 candidates from the total number who sat the exam (representing 0.62%) are being withheld over one exam malpractice or the other,\u201d he noted, adding that such candidates have the opportunity to lodge complaints through WAEC dedicated portal given as <a href=\"https:\/\/waecinternational.org\/complaints\">https:\/\/waecinternational.org\/complaints <\/a>and proof their innocence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dangut noted that a total of 25 candidates with special needs including the visually and hearing impaired as well as Albinos participated in the exam and 512 personnel participated in the exam coordination and script marking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He urged candidates to first check their results online via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waecdirect.org\/\">www.waecdirect.org<\/a> before visiting the digital certificate platform(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.waec.org\/\">www.waec.org<\/a>) to access the digital copies of their certificates within 48 hours of this announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added that candidates would be required to apply for the printing of the hard copies of their certificates online, through the WAEC Certificate Request Portal (e-Certman).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dangut congratulated those who did well in the exam and thanked the government and the relevant agencies that supported the council in the smooth conduct of the exam.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of its computer-based Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) organised for private candidates early this year as a first series.
