Lagos State University (LASU) has announced that applications are now open for its 2025\/2026 Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) Programme, which will run from October 2025 to September 2026<\/strong> at the university\u2019s Epe Campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one-year intensive and fully residential programme is targeted at candidates with deficiencies in their O\u2019Level results, providing an opportunity to re-sit required subjects and prepare for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Successful students stand a better chance of admission into LASU\u2019s 100 Level degree programmes through a dedicated PDS quota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subjects to be Offered in the Programme<\/strong>
The programme covers 11 subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. English Language<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Physics<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Chemistry<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Biology<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Economics<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Literature in English<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Christian Religious Studies (CRS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Islamic Religious Studies (IRS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Accounting<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Admission Requirements<\/strong>
    Applicants must have at least three credit passes in relevant subjects (listed above) from WAEC, NECO, or GCE, in not more than two sittings. Candidates meeting the requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
