The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has activated the 2026 UTME to Direct Entry (DE) Conversion Service, giving qualified candidates the opportunity to update their admission pathway based on newly acquired academic qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The service is designed for candidates who registered for the 2026 UTME but have since obtained qualifications that make them eligible for Direct Entry admission. JAMB has also enabled Direct Entry candidates to process a Change of Institution where necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conversion service is available to candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME and have now obtained any of the following recognised qualifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 National Diploma (ND)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 Higher National Diploma (HND)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 IJMB<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 JUPEB<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 First Degree<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705 Other approved Direct Entry qualifications<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After a successful conversion, eligible candidates can apply for admission through Direct Entry into 200 Level, provided they satisfy the admission requirements of their preferred institution and course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
JAMB has equally opened the portal for Direct Entry candidates who wish to change their institution of choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This gives candidates the flexibility to select another university, polytechnic, college of education, or other approved tertiary institution if they wish to pursue admission elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Candidates are advised to confirm the admission requirements of their preferred institution before making any changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Candidates are required to visit the nearest JAMB Office to complete the conversion or Change of Institution process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When visiting the office, ensure you go with all the necessary documents and provide accurate information to avoid unnecessary delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
