The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the commencement of its Central Admissions Clearance Application (LACACA) for newly admitted postgraduate students in the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to the notice, all admitted candidates are expected to participate in the online clearance exercise via the LACACA portal. Successful candidates will automatically be assigned matriculation numbers upon completion, while unsuccessful candidates shall forfeit their provisional admission. LASU alumni who provided their previous matriculation numbers during the application process will have them reactivated after clearance.
The LACACA operation, managed by LASU Consult Limited, requires admitted students to pay the prescribed clearance fee through the LASU Consult Ltd e-payment portal before accessing the clearance platform.
Payment Procedure
1. Visit https://lasu.edu.ng/consult
2. Enter your Application/Matriculation Number
3. Provide your Surname and First Name
4. Select the appropriate fee/charge
5. Supply a valid Email Address and Phone Number
6. Click Continue
Steps to Complete LACACA
1. Go to https://www.lasu.edu.ng
2. Under the Student tab, select Postgraduate LACACA
3. Enter your PG Application Number and Surname → Click Submit
4. On the dashboard, complete the following:
Validate basic biodata
Verify disability status
Upload O’Level scratch card details
Upload credentials & admission letter
Upload birth certificate, NYSC certificate, scanned signature
Tick “I Agree” and Submit
At this point, clearance progress will reach 20%, after which LASU officials will scrutinize uploaded documents. Candidates must monitor their portal regularly as some documents may require corrections. Error corrections attract a fee payable via the LASU e-payment portal: https://www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment.
Upon attaining 100% clearance status, successful students can print their Admission Clearance Certificate and will be officially assigned matriculation numbers. Rejected candidates are advised to check their portal for reasons and may need to visit the Postgraduate School, Ojo Campus, for guidance.
Important Note:
The online clearance exercise begins Wednesday, 20th August 2025, and will last two weeks only. Admitted postgraduate students who fail to participate risk losing their admission.
