The Lagos State University (LASU) Management has announced compliance with the Lagos State Government’s directive declaring Wednesday, 20th August 2025, a work-free day in commemoration of this year’s Isese Day.
The circular, dated 18th August 2025 and signed by the State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, instructed all government institutions and workers to observe the holiday.
In line with the directive, LASU stated that all staff—both teaching and non-teaching—will observe the day as work-free, with normal activities resuming on Thursday, 21st August 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
Importantly, the university also confirmed that there will be no examinations on Wednesday, 20th August 2025. The affected papers from the ongoing 2024/2025 Second Semester Examinations have been rescheduled to Monday, 15th September 2025.
LASU reaffirmed its commitment to smooth academic operations, while joining Lagos State in celebrating the annual cultural holiday.
