The management of Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has officially activated the Online Admission Screening Portal for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
Candidates seeking admission into LASU through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) can now proceed with the online screening registration exercise.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
To be eligible for the LASU 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
1. First Choice Institution
Candidates must have chosen Lagos State University (LASU) as their First Choice Institution during the 2026 UTME registration.
Candidates who did not initially choose LASU must first carry out a Change of Institution through JAMB before proceeding with the screening registration.
2. Minimum JAMB Score
Applicants must score a minimum of 195 marks in the 2026 UTME.
Candidates who scored below 195 are not eligible for the screening exercise.
3. Age Requirement
Candidates must be at least 16 years old on or before October 1, 2026.
4. O’Level Requirements
Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
The credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings using WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent examinations.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SOME COURSES
Medicine & Surgery and Dentistry
Candidates seeking admission into Medicine & Surgery or Dentistry must possess all required O’Level credits in one sitting only.
Two sittings will not be accepted.
Engineering Courses
Candidates applying for Engineering programmes may combine two sittings.
However, they must possess the required science subjects, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Relevant science subjects applicable to the chosen programme
Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering
Candidates must possess a credit pass in Further Mathematics to be considered for admission into the programme.
IMPORTANT NOTICE ON O’LEVEL RESULT UPLOAD
All candidates must upload their O’Level results on the JAMB CAPS Portal before the LASU screening deadline.
Failure to upload O’Level results on CAPS may prevent a candidate from being considered for admission regardless of UTME score.
LASU CHANGES ADMISSION SCREENING GRADING METHOD
LASU has introduced a new admission screening grading system for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
The University has adopted a 60/40 Admission Screening Formula which affects how candidates’ admission aggregates are calculated.
