Newly admitted students of Lagos State University (LASU) for the 2026/2027 academic session are beginning to see major updates on their LACACA portals as the University moves into the final approval stage of the admission clearance process.
The LACACA exercise has been running for some time, with candidates submitting their documents and responding to corrections where necessary. The latest development is the appearance of 100% clearance status on the portals of some candidates.
WHAT DOES 100% CLEARANCE MEAN?
When a candidate’s LACACA portal displays 100%, it indicates that the candidate has completed the required clearance process and has been cleared at the relevant stage by the University.
Candidates who have reached this stage should regularly monitor their portals for further updates concerning the next stage of their admission.
One of the major steps expected after final clearance is the issuance of the candidate’s matriculation number, which will become the student’s official identification number within LASU.
IMPORTANT: PRINT YOUR CLEARANCE SLIP
If your LACACA portal has reached 100% clearance, make sure you print your LASU Admission Clearance Slip/Certificate from the portal and keep it safely.
The document may be required for subsequent faculty, departmental and other school-related clearance activities.
Do not assume that reaching 100% means there is nothing else to do. Candidates should continue checking their portals and following any further instructions from LASU.
HAVING ISSUES WITH YOUR LACACA?
Candidates who encounter unresolved issues with their clearance can contact the University through the appropriate support channels.
LASU has directed candidates with clearance-related difficulties to the University Admission Office, Admin Block II, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Ojo, Lagos.

The movement into the final approval stage is an important development for the 2026/2027 newly admitted students, as candidates who successfully complete the clearance process can proceed toward the next stages of their student registration and matriculation.
