LASU has opened its 2026/2027 Online Admission Screening Exercise for Direct Entry candidates. This is mandatory — if you’re applying through Direct Entry, you must complete it to be considered for admission.
Who Can Apply
- Direct Entry candidates, including LASU Foundation (JUPEB) candidates
- You must have obtained your Direct Entry Form from JAMB
- You must have selected LASU as your first-choice institution
Qualification Requirements
Except for NCE holders applying into the Faculty of Education, only the LASU Diploma is accepted for Direct Entry admission.
Application Window
Payment, registration, and updating are open for two weeks: from 12 September 2026 to 26 September 2026, at midnight. Don’t wait until the last few days — if something goes wrong with payment or your details, you’ll want time to fix it.
How to Apply
- Visit the LASU website and go to the UTME/DE Screening platform.
- Select “DE Candidate Login.”
- Enter your JAMB registration number and surname.
- Make payment.
- Complete the online self-screening: your personal information, your course of study, and your O’Level details.
O’Level Requirements
- You need 5 O’Level credit passes in subjects relevant to your chosen course, from no more than 2 sittings.
- Medicine and Dentistry require all 5 credits from a single sitting — 2 sittings are not accepted for these courses.
- English Language is compulsory for every course.
- Examinations taken after July 2026 will not be accepted.
If you’re applying for Engineering with results from 2 sittings, you need 6 relevant credit passes, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, and 2 other science subjects.
If you’re applying for Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering, you also need a credit pass in Further Mathematics.
Check the 2026 JAMB brochure for the exact O’Level subject requirements for your specific course.
Don’t Forget JAMB CAPS
You must also upload your O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before the screening exercise closes. This is separate from the LASU screening form — both need to be done.
After You Submit
- Preview and certify all your information before submitting. Your screening decision is based only on what you provide, so check it carefully before you click submit.
- Once your screening is complete, download your screening report from the Screening Homepage using your Direct Entry registration number.
- Screening is based on a point grading system, using your UTME score and your SSCE (or equivalent) grades in your 5 best relevant subjects.
