ABU Zaria Is in Kaduna. If You Are Not in the North, Getting There for Post-UTME Is Problem Number One.

The Post-UTME is held on ABU’s campus in Zaria and you have to be there in person. Students who do not book travel early miss the exam entirely. We help students plan and handle the rest of the process.

Why Should You Trust What We Say About School Admission?

Since 2023, we have helped students gain admission across 50+ universities in Nigeria including LASU, UNILAG, UI, FUOYE, and LASUED. The testimonials below are from real students and parents we have worked with.

My journey with Gift Consult began with a chat on WhatsApp on information about various universities Post UTME stuff. I was happy on one part but scared on the part because of trust. But I still went ahead following him up with a strong mind of believe in him even though we had never met before. Gift Consult helped my two sons in every steps of their admission process easily and smoothly with prompt information, No-Stress Payments, etc. I give him 100/100 for his efforts that made my sons' dream come true.

I can't really remember how I get gift Consult's contact but one thing I know is that I've never regretted choosing him as my consultant. My admission process was very smooth and I'm really grateful for that. I didn't have any issues with my admission processing, from screening to lacaca clearance to all my payments. It was very smooth and I highly recommended gift consult for any jambite and aspirant this year.

The First Challenge at ABU Zaria Is Not the Exam. It Is Getting to Zaria on Time.

After JAMB results come out, ABU opens a Post-UTME registration window. You register, then you must travel to the ABU campus in Zaria to sit the CBT exam in person. If you are based in Lagos, Port Harcourt, or anywhere outside Kaduna State, this means booking travel and accommodation well in advance. Students who leave this until the week before the exam regularly miss it. That is not a recoverable mistake. You cannot sit ABU’s Post-UTME from another location.

Beyond the logistics, students who apply for Medicine or Engineering at ABU based on the school’s minimum of 180 discover that the faculty cut-off is significantly higher, and their application was never going to be considered.

Why Students Miss ABU Zaria Admission

1

You do not plan your travel to Zaria early enough. You miss the Post-UTME. That is a full year gone for a reason that had nothing to do with your ability or your score.

2

You apply for Medicine or Engineering at ABU based on the school minimum of 180 without knowing the faculty cut-off is significantly higher. Your application is not considered and you do not find out until the process is over.

3

You check the admission portal once after Post-UTME and assume your name will not appear. ABU publishes in batches and many students miss their own notification by stopping too early.

Narrowly Missed ABU’s Cut-Off? The Remedial Programme Can Still Get You In

ABU runs a Remedial programme for students whose scores were close to the departmental cut-off for competitive courses like Medicine and Engineering but did not quite reach it. Here is how it works: you spend one year in the Remedial programme at ABU, and if you pass, you move into the full degree programme the following year without rewriting JAMB or sitting another Post-UTME.

This is an official programme run by the university with its own application process and its own deadline.

Most students who narrowly miss the cut-off at ABU go home and spend a whole year preparing to start the entire process over again, when they could have been at ABU the whole time. If your score was close, talk to us and we will tell you whether the Remedial programme is an option for your course.
