The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially delisted 23 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across Nigeria following issues recorded during the 2026 mock UTME.
The decision is part of JAMB’s effort to ensure a smooth, fair, and credible examination process for candidates participating in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
WHY THE CENTRES WERE DELISTED
According to JAMB, the affected centres failed to meet the required operational standards during the mock examination.
Some of the issues identified include:
- Technical failures during the examination
- Delays in the commencement of exams
- Inability to properly conduct the test in some centres
These challenges raised concerns about the readiness of the centres for the main UTME, leading to their immediate removal.
IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR CANDIDATES
Candidates should take note of the following:
- The delisted centres will NOT be used for the 2026 UTME
- 88 other CBT centres have been placed on strict warning
- One centre has been fully banned from participating in future JAMB examinations
