The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has debunked a widely circulated result slip claiming that a candidate scored 396 in the 2026 UTME, describing it as completely fake and misleading.
According to JAMB, the result currently being shared online does not originate from the Board and should be disregarded by the public.
WHY THE RESULT IS FAKE
JAMB highlighted several inconsistencies that expose the result as fraudulent:
- The UTME result format is view-only, not a printable slip as seen in the fake version
- The template used in the circulated result does not match JAMB’s official format
- The registration number pattern shown (e.g., “20269”) is invalid and not generated by JAMB’s system
- Multiple visible errors further confirm that the result is fabricated

OFFICIAL POSITION FROM JAMB
The Board emphasized that all UTME results can only be accessed through its approved channels and are currently view-only.
JAMB therefore advised candidates, parents, and the general public to ignore such false information and avoid spreading unverified content.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
- Always rely on official JAMB platforms for accurate updates
- Do not trust or share unofficial result slips
- Be cautious of misinformation circulating on social media
FINAL NOTE
JAMB continues to warn against the spread of fake examination information, urging the public to verify all updates before accepting them as true.
