Lagos State University (LASU), through its School of Basic and Advanced Studies (LASUSBAS), has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The LASU JUPEB Programme is a one-year intensive programme designed for candidates seeking admission into 200 Level without writing UTME again. Successful candidates who meet the required conditions can gain Direct Entry admission into LASU and other JUPEB-affiliated universities across Nigeria.
The programme will run from September 2026 to August 2027 at the LASUSBAS Campus, ASCON Road, Topo, Badagry, Lagos State.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for admission, applicants must:
✅ Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
✅ Be ready to participate in the LASUSBAS Qualifying Examination.
Candidates invited for the examination must present the following:
- National Identification Number (NIN) Slip
- Birth Certificate
- O’Level Result
- One recent passport photograph
Important: The names on your NIN Slip, Birth Certificate, and O’Level Result must be exactly the same.
Awaiting Result candidates are NOT eligible to apply.
Successful applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of ₦30,000.
DIRECT ENTRY INTO 200 LEVEL
At the end of the programme, candidates will sit for the JUPEB examination.
Successful candidates who meet the required grade will be eligible for admission into 200 Level in LASU or any other JUPEB-affiliated university, subject to meeting the admission requirements.
Applicants should also note that:
- Successful candidates must obtain the JAMB Direct Entry (DE) Form before admission into 200 Level.
- Candidates who do not successfully complete the programme may repeat it after paying the prescribed fees.
- School fees paid after admission are non-refundable, even if the student withdraws voluntarily.
HOW TO APPLY
Interested candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦50,000 through the official LASU Foundation/JUPEB application portal before completing the online registration.

HOSTEL AND TRANSPORTATION
LASU provides hostel accommodation and transportation services for students admitted into the JUPEB programme.
Hostel spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
