The Lagos State University (LASU) has commenced the LASU Central Admissions Clearance Application (LACACA) for newly admitted full-time undergraduate students for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The online clearance exercise is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, and will run for three weeks, closing on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
All newly admitted candidates are expected to complete the LACACA process within the approved period. Successful completion of the clearance process is required before candidates can be assigned their matriculation numbers and issued the official LASU Admission Clearance Certificate.
Candidates who fail to complete the clearance exercise successfully may risk losing their provisional admission.
REQUIREMENTS BEFORE STARTING LACACA
Before commencing the clearance process, newly admitted students are required to have completed payment of their:
- Acceptance Fee
- Medical Fee
- LACACA Clearance Fee
Candidates should ensure that their payments are properly reflected before proceeding with the clearance application.
HOW TO PAY THE LACACA CLEARANCE FEE
To make payment for the LACACA clearance fee:
- Visit the LASU payment portal.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the field labelled “Matriculation Number/Application Number.”
- Enter a valid email address and phone number.
- Click Continue and proceed with the payment.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE LACACA CLEARANCE
After making the required payment, candidates can proceed with the online clearance by following these steps:
- Visit the official LASU website.
- Navigate to the Student section.
- Select UG LACACA.
- Enter your UTME Registration Number and Surname.
- Click Submit to access your clearance dashboard.
Candidates will then be required to complete the various sections of the clearance application, including:
- Validation of basic biodata
- Verification of disability status
- Upload of O’Level scratch card details
- Upload of original Birth Certificate
- Upload of original UTME Result
- Upload of original JAMB Admission Letter
- Upload of scanned signature
After checking all the information provided, candidates should tick the “I Agree” box and submit the application.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SUBMISSION?
After submitting the LACACA application, the clearance progress will initially move to 20%.
The documents uploaded by each candidate will then be reviewed and scrutinized by the appropriate University officials.
Candidates are advised to check their portals regularly because additional information, corrections, or further actions may be requested during the verification process.
Where a candidate is required to correct an error identified during the clearance process, the applicable LACACA correction fee may have to be paid through the LASU payment portal.
WHEN WILL I GET MY CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE?
Candidates whose clearance process reaches 100% will be able to print their LASU Admission Clearance Certificate.
Following successful completion of the clearance process, the University will subsequently assign the candidate a matriculation number.
WHAT IF MY CLEARANCE IS REJECTED?
Candidates whose clearance applications are rejected should log in to their portals and carefully check the reason for the rejection.
Where necessary, candidates should make the required corrections and resubmit their documents as instructed.
Candidates who need further clarification or assistance may visit the Admission Office, 3rd Floor, Senate Building, LASU Main Campus, Ojo.
IMPORTANT ADVICE TO NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS
Do not wait until the final days of the clearance exercise before starting your LACACA.
Make sure all documents uploaded are original, genuine, clear and readable. Also ensure that the information on your documents agrees with the details on your JAMB and LASU records.
Regularly monitor your LASU portal throughout the clearance period so you can respond quickly if your application requires any correction.
