The Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has officially announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVE) for candidates of Lagos State origin.
This exercise is specifically for candidates who selected LASU as their first choice in the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 195.
REGISTRATION DETAILS
- Registration Opens: Monday, 27th April 2026
- Registration Closes: Friday, 22nd May 2026
Candidates are to complete their registration and payment online via the university’s official portal.
Important: The Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee admission into Lagos State University.
SCREENING SCHEDULE
The exercise will be conducted in phases:
- Phase 1: April 27 – April 30, 2026
- Phase 2: May 4 – May 7, 2026
- Phase 3: May 11 – May 14, 2026
- Phase 4: May 18 – May 22, 2026
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Must be an indigene of Lagos State
- Must have chosen LASU as first choice in UTME
- Must have scored 195 and above
- Must be cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC)
Direct Entry candidates of Lagos State origin are also required to participate in this exercise.
SCREENING VENUES
Candidates will attend screening based on their division:
- Ikeja Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Arts
- Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Arts
- Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
- Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
- Epe Division: School of Transport and Logistics
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Previous applicants (2024/2025 & 2025/2026) not yet admitted are to revalidate their clearance certificates online
- Ensure all payments are made through the official LASU channel only
- Any payment made outside the approved platform is at the candidate’s risk
FINAL NOTE
Only candidates who successfully complete and pass the Indigeneship Verification Exercise will be considered under the Lagos State indigene category during admission processing.
