How to Upload Your O'Level Result to JAMB
JAMB now lets you verify and upload your O'Level result from home, without going to a CBT centre. The new system checks your result directly against WAEC's records before it reaches your JAMB profile, so there is less risk of errors or a rejected upload.
This guide walks you through both stages: verifying your result, then uploading it to your JAMB e-Facility profile.
Uploading your O'Level result is not optional. It is one of the steps schools use to confirm that you have the subjects and grades required for your course. If it is not uploaded, your school cannot see it and your application cannot move forward.
What You Need Before You Start
Have these ready so you do not stop halfway through:
- Your NIN.
- A valid email address.
- A working phone number.
- A debit card or bank details for payment.
- Your WAEC examination number, series, and year.
Step 1: Verify Your O'Level Result
- Go to buyresultsverificationcode.ng.
- Enter your NIN and click "Verify NIN."
- Select your number of sittings and the correct examination body (currently WAEC), then click "Continue."
- Enter your email address and GSM number, then click "Pay Now." You will be redirected to the payment page.
- Pay using a debit card or bank transfer.
- Enter your examination number, series, and year.
- Verify your result. You will receive a Verification Code. Save this code. You need it for the next step.
Step 2: Upload Your Verified Result
- Send "VERIFY" followed by your Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.
- You will get a notification once your result is uploaded.
If you have one sitting, this completes the process.
If you have two sittings, JAMB will notify you to finish the upload on your e-Facility profile:
- Log in to your JAMB e-Facility dashboard.
- Click "2026 UTME O'Level Upload."
- Enter your Verification Code. Both verified results will be displayed.
- Select your subjects. A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9. You cannot select the same subject twice.
- Click "Apply the O'Level Results."
- You will get a notification confirming your results were uploaded successfully.
Before You Submit, Check This
- Your examination number, series, and year must match your official WAEC records exactly. A mismatch will stop the verification.
- Never share your Verification Code, password, or NIN details with anyone claiming they can "help" you faster. If something goes wrong, use JAMB's official channels, not a stranger claiming special access.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
Uploading the wrong sitting.
If you wrote WAEC more than once, you have results from two different years. Some schools accept two sittings to combine subjects, others only take one. Confirm what your school allows before you upload anything.
Entering the wrong examination number, series, or year.
Your examination details must match your official WAEC records exactly. A mismatch will stop the verification and you will not be able to proceed until you correct it.
Waiting too long.
Universities build their shortlists shortly after UTME results. Every day you delay uploading is a day you are invisible to the admissions office while other candidates are being processed.
Sharing your Verification Code or NIN with strangers.

If Something Does Not Go Through

You Have Uploaded. Two Steps Left Before You Are Admitted.
Uploading your O'Level result puts you at step 7 out of 9. The steps that remain are the ones most students struggle with.
Step 8 is buying your school form and sitting your school's screening or Post-UTME. Every school has its own form, its own deadline, and its own process. Some schools close their form portal in less than two weeks. If you miss it, you wait a full year.
Step 9 is getting admitted. Checking the admission list, paying your acceptance fee on time, gathering every document your school needs for clearance, and completing the clearance process itself.
